Hillary Promises Transparency

The frontrunner for the presidential candidate of the Democrats, Hillary Clinton promised to bring widespread and thorough changes in the donation to political parties by corporate organizations as well as large donors along with increased transparency.

 Hillary Promises Transparency

Among the widespread reforms that Hillary proposes, the regulations would be modified to make transparent the contribution to congressional as well as presidential candidates.

During her campaign a statement issued by Clinton stated "We have to end the flood of secret, unaccountable money that is distorting our elections, corrupting our political system, and drowning out the voices of too many everyday Americans, Our democracy should be about expanding the franchise, not charging an entrance fee."

Amidst growing concerns in the American electorate over inequality on a large spectrum of issues that may vary from income to the influence of affairs on the national scale, Clinton has jumped on the bandwagon while specifically rooting for the middle class.

But Clinton also has her share of detractors over theme when one considers the wealth of her own family as well as for spending decades in public positions that have a high profile.

She is also in favor of overturning a ruling by the Supreme Court in 2010 that aroused much controversy. The ruling allowed individuals and corporations to spend money without any ceiling for political advocacy. Bernie Sanders, the Vermont Senator as well as another candidate too have condemned the ruling and has become a hotly debated electoral subject.

However in order to overturn it an amendment to the constitution would be in order and would require a change of guard in the Supreme Court. Sanders has been consistently eating away (24%) at the lead enjoyed by Clinton(46%) as frontrunner for the Democratic nomination according to a five day rolling poll on the 4th of September by IPSOS/Reuters.
